Gingerbread Fun!

On Christmas Eve the kids, my mom and I decorated gingerbread cookies for santa. The kids had so much fun with the frosting and came up with some good stories to go along with their cookies. Here are some pictures from that. Oh by the way, these pictures are not from my camera, mom was taking them on her camera and she had the setting set to night time, instead of day, so the pictures are blurry in spots. Gotta love her though!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday! The kids woke up early on Christmas morning, they were so very exctited to see what Santa was going to bring them.

We first had to wake Mark up then I made them sit and pose for a few pictures with Zack before they ripped into their presents. Of course we got all sorts of funny faces as they would not listen at all, their minds were on presents!

Poor Zack didn't know what to think of it all and you can tell by his look in the pictures lol He was a good sport though and didn't let out a peep.
Wyatt and Lucy both got most of what they asked for, we try to always keep it simple and fun. Here are a few pictures of them opening gifts

And finally the mess afterwards

We had a great dinner at out house with family then headed off for more visiting. It was a great day!

Snow day!

On Saturday we got a decent winter storm, we ended up with 7 inches in our driveway so mid way through the storm Mark took the older kids out to play in the snow. They helped Mark plow the driveway then they went sledding in the backyard. Here are some pics from their fun afternoon.

We are back!

Finally, we are back! It's nice to have a phone back and to be able to get back on here. Gosh what did we all do when there was no internet? I will say my house is extra clean and organized!

So you have to see these new pictures of Zack and the new hat that he got as a present from my mom's friend Betsy. She lives in North Pole Alaska and made this for the little guy. It is the cutest thing ever! Thank you Betsy!!

The kids are getting very excited for Santa to come. It's a daily countdown for them. I can't believe how fast this holiday season has come! I feel like we just had Thanksgiving and here we are less than a week to go until Christmas!

Wyatt is having his school Christmas party today and he was so excited to be able to wear regular clothes. He loves his uniforms and all, but he also loves showing of his jeans and shirts. I asked him how he thought he looked today and I got a thumbs up sign and then he said " I look awesome!" Yes, Wyatt, you do look awesome lol

Lucy is still being her diva self, as I type this she is watching a Mickey's Christmas movie and playing with toy cars. She has really come into pretend play within the last 2-3 weeks. She will play on her own for over an hour. Usually she plays with cars and her dolls.

Zack is 9 weeks now and is getting much more animated when smiling and talking. He loves to have conversations with you, he coo's and makes all sorts of noises to get a response out of you. He is almost laughing as well.

Ok so I think that's all that's going on here, just regular life stuff with the excitment of Christmas thrown in. :)

We are still here!

Our phone, internet and cable has been out since Sunday the 14th, from that winter storm that we got. It is supposed to be fixed by tomorrow. So once we are back up and running I will have lots of new pictures to post.

Hope you are staying warm!

Zack's 8 week checkup

I took Zack in for his 8 week checkup today. All went well he is as healthy as can be. He had to get 3 shots and 1 other med by mouth. He barely cried when he got the shots, he was more upset about being un-dresed and cold. :)

Zack now weighs 15.5 pounds and is 25.5 inches long. I didn't expect him to be 15 pounds, I thought 14 at the most, but he beat that! He is so tall that now only 6-9 month clothes fit him. I had a bunch of 3-6 month clothes with tags still on them that I have to return.

She showed me his growth charts and he is so far off of them it's not even funny, but she said that his height and weight match up, so he is 100% good to go.

I asked the doctor also about his cold, since he is still fighting it and it's been 2 weeks now, his lungs are clear and all we can do it wait it out.

Ready for some smiles?

I know I have promised pictures of Zack smiling and you about to see them. These were taken earlier this week, pardon the bad photography, it's hard to have him not stare at the camera but get a decent shot of him smiling away. So I always have the camera off to the side etc...

In this one he was smiling and moving from being excited that he started to tip over

It's December!

It's December! Woohoo! So far though, it has not been the best of month's. We are all sick, even poor Zack. Mark, Wyatt and Lucy seem to be about 98% done with it, while Zack and I are still coughing up junk. Ewww. Hopefully we will be better by the weekend.

We put up the tree on Thanksgiving, the kids helped and I must say it looks fab! I will get a picture up on here this week. They had a great time hanging all the ornaments, I let them put them where ever their hearts desired, so the tree may look a little weird, but they are happy with it.

My sister Chelsea came over on Sunday, she said she had a surprise for me. This was her surprise:

She got a tattoo on her ankle with angel wings and Everett's initals! How cool is that??!! I had no idea she was going to do it and she totally melted my heart by seeing that. It was the best surprise! Love ya Chelsea! *smooch*
